Member Jeffers motioned to approve the sixty (60) day extension of the Temporary Liquor <br />License subject to the re-submittal of the transfer application by the close of business March 16, <br />2000. Chairperson Myers seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: Lipton - yes, Evans - yes, <br />Jeffers - yes, Kimmett - yes, Myers - yes. All members in favor, the motion carded. <br /> <br />Do <br /> <br />Late Renewal Application - Carli Enterprises, LLC, d/b/a Centennial Liquors - Retail <br />Liquor Store License - 324 S. McCaslin Blvd. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers stated that the issues of the late renewal application and the late renewal fee <br />should be addressed separately. <br /> <br />Jeffers moved for approval of the late renewal application, seconded by Lipton. Roll Call Vote: <br />Myers - yes, Evans - yes, Kimmett - yes, Lipton - yes, Jeffers - yes. Motion carded with all <br />members in favor. <br /> <br />Jeffers also moved the Authority waive the $500 late renewal fee, seconded my Chairperson <br />Myers. Roll Call Vote: Kimmett - yes, Lipton - yes, Evans - yes, Myers - yes, Jeffers - yes. All <br />members in favor, the motion carded. <br /> <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT <br /> <br />Sergeant Jerry Riggins apologized to the Authority and appointed Special Prosecutor Bruce Joss <br />for the lack of additional information being documented in the police reports concerning the <br />Gentleman Jim's alleged violation of January 10, 2000. <br /> <br />There was brief discussion between the Authority and Sergeant Riggins concerning the apparent <br />differing interpretations of the letter sent to Pine Street Junction by then-Chairperson Jeffers <br />regarding the September 1999 motorcycle rally. <br /> <br />SECRETARY'S REPORT <br /> <br />Authority Secretary, Nancy Varra informed the members that the next joint liquor trainings have <br />been confirmed with Jennifer Wickersham of the Liquor Enforcement Division and will be held on <br />Wednesday, April 26, 2000 at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 30, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br />Several members expressed their desire to attend a future training session. Also discussed was the <br />Authority's desire to have the training focus more on the signs of intoxication and how to handle <br />situations with an intoxicated person. Sergeant Riggins identified that a handout used by the <br />Liquor Enforcement instructors outlines all the visible signs of intoxication but that few attendees <br />take the time to read all the literature provided. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers and member Jeffers offered that perhaps the Authority should request a copy <br />of liquor training materials or policies used by area establishments and incorporate the information <br />into a small pamphlet that could be mailed to all Louisville licensees. <br /> <br />Chairperson Myers asked the Authority Secretary ifPasquini's had provided proof of ownership <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
