Incident at Gentleman Jim's

Sergeant Riggins reviewed the contents of the police report with Authority members.

Member Jeffers asked if there were any potential witnesses to the incident of April 6, 2000.
Riggins replied that due to a heavy call load, officers were unable to return to Gentleman Jim's
that morning.

Riggins and members of the Authority discussed several statements made by the allegedly
intoxicated person and by that of the bartender. It was the consensus of members that similar
statements have been made in prior alcohol related incidents at Gentleman Jim's. Member
Kimmett suggested that since the Police had investigated to their fullest ability and no citations
issued, the incident report be filed for future reference,

Sergeant Riggins offered that other measures might be available to the Authority to express
concern if they felt there was lack of evidence to order a Show Cause Hearing. Vice
Chairperson Lipton voiced that a letter to the licensee would be appropriate. Jeffers agreed with
the idea of a strongly worded letter, but stated his openness to a Show Cause Order.
