Louisville City Council / Superior Board of Trustees <br />Joint Study Session Summary <br />February 28, 2020 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />Parcel 0 Update: <br />Director Zuccaro said City hired consultants to look at Parcel 0 — approximately 40 acres. What <br />would be market supported, what would be financially feasible and a 10 year retail demand <br />outlook. Louisville staff has since worked with property owners to look at zoning changes and <br />changes were recently adopted to allow a slight increase in commercial density and an <br />allowance for entertainment uses. Ascent Church has now purchased the former Sam's Club <br />space. The property owners are also trying to initiation covenant changes to allow the <br />entertainment uses. <br />1500 Coalton Building Update (Land Rover Building): <br />Town Manager Magley said this building has been purchased by Superior. An architect has <br />been selected, and the community has been engaged to see what residents want the building to <br />look like. It will be an indoor civic space. They hope to have final design soon. City Manager <br />Balser said the municipal staffs have been working together; Library story times and other <br />programming can be implemented and serve all patrons. <br />88t"1 Street Work and Closures: <br />Town Manager Magley said potential development on the east side of 88th did not happen as <br />quickly as they anticipated so Superior is working on designs to add bike lanes, sidewalks, turn <br />lanes. They are considering closing 88th for two months in June and July. Turnoff will be the <br />connection to downtown Superior. Promenade and 88th could also include a roundabout. Want <br />to start construction as soon as possible. 88th is not on any CDOT list so coordination between <br />municipalities is important. <br />Discussion about options for children and parents to get to school. <br />Meeting adjourned at 8:57 am <br />Submitted by Dawn Burgess <br />
