Attorney Kelly stated that the Special <br />Prosecutor appointed by the Authority would be able to use subpoena powers to gain access to <br />documentation that might otherwise be difficult to obtain. <br /> <br />Member Jeffers moved to issue a show cause order for Holly & Mike's Ribs, Inc. d/b/a Hickory Sticks <br />Smokehouse and Grill, 1000 South Boulder Road, for alleged violations of C.R.S. § 12-47-307 for <br />noncompliance with sales tax requirements; which hearing to be held at the next regular meeting of the <br />Local Licensing Authority, November 27, 2000 at 7:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Council Chambers of City <br />Hall, 749 Main Street, Louisville; and that the Authority Attorney appoint a Special Prosecutor to <br />investigate and prosecute the case. Vice Chairperson Lipton seconded the motion. Roll Call Vote: <br />Evans - yes, Jeffers - yes, Myers - yes, Kimmett - yes, Lipton - yes. All members were in favor, the <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />B. Liquor Board Training Session <br /> <br />Deputy City Clerk Bolte informed the Authority of a Liquor Board Training session to be held on <br />November 6, 2000 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Lafayette City Hall, 1290 South <br />Public Road, Lafayette. Matt Cook, Director of the State Liquor Enforcement Division, will present the <br />training. <br /> <br />Several members indicated interest in attending the training. <br /> <br />C. New State Application/Training Roster <br /> <br />Deputy City Clerk Bolte informed the Authority that the revised Colorado retail liquor license <br />application includes a new question concerning whether or not an applicant intends to provide their staff <br />with server training. <br /> <br />Also distributed to members, the liquor training rosters for the October 25th and 29th joint training <br />sessions conducted at the City of Louisville, and a 2001 meeting schedule and calendar for the <br />Louisville Local Licensing Authority. <br /> <br />Bolte asked the Authority if certain standard renewal information could be summarized on the <br />communiqu6s in an effort to conserve paper and reduce the amount of attachments members must <br />review. Bolte suggested that for renewal applications, certificates of good standing, training certificates <br />and current status of leases could be reviewed by Staff and summarized instead of providing each <br />Authority member with the documentation. New ownership or lease agreements on existing licenses as <br />well as police reports, would continue to be included for Authority and Attorney review. <br /> <br />ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />A.
