Coyote Run Completed Trail Repair Photos: <br />Natural Resources: <br />1. Herbicide applications will occur on multiple Open Space properties in October by <br />hired contractor. <br />2. Staff will select a contractor the second week of October for fall prairie dog <br />management on several properties: Davidson Mesa, Aquarius, Daughenbaugh, CTC, <br />and jointly -owned Warembourg. Work will occur in late October or early November. <br />3. In September, Mile High Flood Control (formerly Urban Drainage Flood Control <br />District) will be clearing sediment and woody debris out of a concrete trickle channel <br />and detention basin located on Coyote Run Open Space. <br />Resource Protection: <br />The Rangers have launched the Protect & Respect Campaign to promote trail <br />etiquette and COVID safety around the City. In addition to posting fresh <br />informational signage, Rangers will host booths in select Open Space locations <br />around Louisville. <br />A. Topics will include facial covering use, proper social distancing etiquette, and <br />ways to maintain distance without causing resource damage, such as <br />trampling vegetation or widening trails. <br />B. The campaign will also give visitors a chance to have informal educational <br />interactions with Rangers and ask questions they may have about their <br />neighborhood Open Space. <br />C. Visitors who sign a pledge to protect each other and the land will receive a <br />new, limited edition Louisville Open Space facial covering. <br />D. Rangers have set the following schedule for the booths: <br />1) Aquarius trailhead, Weds 10/14, 4:30-5:30pm <br />2) Dutch Creek Open Space, Sat. 10/17, 9:00-10:OOam <br />3) Davidson Mesa Main Trailhead, Sun 10/18, 9:00-10:OOam <br />
