Posted in City Hall, Public Library, <br />Recreation Center and the Courts and Police Building and mailed to surrounding <br />property owners on April 19, 2013. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />None heard. <br />Staff Report of Facts and Issues: <br />Robinson summarized the project with a Power Point presentation which included the <br />following information: <br />• Property History and Background — including location. <br />• Project reviewed under the IDDSG requirements. <br />• How the tower is used. <br />• Requested waiver: building height. <br />Staff recommends approval to amend the previously approved planned unit <br />development (PUD) plan for the purpose of allowing a previously approved 38 foot <br />tower which extends to 54 feet when temporarily testing wind generators <br />manufactured on site to be expanded to 47 nd 80 feet, respectively, with one <br />condition: <br />1) The mounting and testing of the gen a or atop of the tower shall be limited <br />to eight (8) times, or no more than 150 days per year. <br />Commission Questions of Staff.: <br />Lipton inquired if the photo simulations are ally what the tower and generate look <br />like. <br />Robinson state apppnt would be beerier to answer his question. <br />Applicant Presenta <br />Representatives of the ipmpany thanked staff for their presentation and reviewed the <br />previously completed projects. <br />Commission Questions of Applicant: <br />Lipton inquired about the noise level of the unit when running. <br />Moline asked about the rotation speed. <br />Pritchard asked if there are any FFA requirements for safety lights because of the <br />height. <br />The representatives stated the noise level is minimal, the rotation speed is <br />approximately 12.6 RPM and the FFA requirements have been met. <br />Public Comment: <br />None heard. <br />Summary from Staff and Applicant: <br />No additional comments. <br />
