LL• <br />Lolsville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />Economic Vitality Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Friday, October 16, 2020 <br />Regular Electronic Meeting <br />Call to Order: Councilmember Dickinson (Chair) called the electronic meeting <br />to order at 1:33 PM. <br />II. Roll Call: The following members of the City Council were present: <br />Councilmember Dickinson, Mayor Stolzmann, and Mayor Pro Tern Maloney. <br />Also present were City Manager Heather Balser, Economic Vitality Director <br />Megan Pierce, and five members of the public. <br />III. Approval of Agenda: Mayor Stolzmann made a motion to approve the agenda <br />as amended —moving Item VII, Discussion- Recovery & Improvement Matching <br />Grant Program Update to immediately follow Item V. Motion was seconded by <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney. Motion passed. <br />IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes: Mayor Stolzmann made a motion to approve <br />the meeting minutes of September 25, 2020 as presented; motion was <br />seconded by Mayor Pro Tern Maloney. Motion passed. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: None. <br />VI. Discussion- Recovery & Improvement Matching Grant Program Update: <br />(Previously Agenda Item VII). Director Pierce provided an update on grant <br />approvals and funds, which had changed since the agenda materials were <br />prepared. She noted 16 grant approvals, totaling $91,578 in funding. She also <br />described that a number of applications have been received but are in various <br />stages of completeness. All those who have applied have received <br />communication about what is required to complete their application. <br />Sara Martinelli, owner of Zucca Italian Ristorante and The Huckleberry, spoke <br />regarding the purchase of ionization machines for air purification at both <br />restaurants. The items were purchased in expectation of receiving Recovery & <br />Improvement Matching Grant program funding, however, purchases were made <br />before completing an application. She requested the Committee consider <br />amending or modifying the requirements so that businesses could make <br />purchases and then apply for a grant.
