City Council
Meeting Minutes
November 10, 2020
Councilmember Brown stated that if the EVC and the BRaD don't each have a clear role
or mission in the Plan there should be discussion of if we need to continue with both.
Councilmember Lipton stated the rolls of the two groups are very different one with
Councilmembers and one with citizens. We might want to consider suspending BRaD for
a short while and not make new appointments until Council has had a greater discussion
on what we really need to do.
Councilmember Dickinson stated he supports suspending the BRaD committee but also
making the commitment that the EVC include those voices in their discussions but this
doesn't need to be decided immediately.
Mayor Pro Tern Maloney moved to approve the strategic plan as written; Councilmember
Dickinson seconded the motion.
Councilmember Leh stated he has concerns about disbanding BRaD and it could be
taken badly in the business community. He suggested the Council take input from the
committee and the public before making any decisions.
Members decided the EVC will discuss the role of BRaD at their next meeting. The
Committee will take input from BRaD members and the community as to how best to
proceed and bring a recommendation to the full Council at a later date.
Roll Call Vote: Members approved the strategic plan unanimously.
Members adjourned at 7:28 pm.
ADJOURN
(/"- A:Q=
Ashley Izmann, Mayor
Meredyth Muth, City Clerk ok-®vie`'
SEAL
0® of
