Vibrant Economic Climate <br />n <br />Louisville promotes a thriving business climate that provides job opportunities, facilitates <br />investment, and produces reliable revenue to support City services. Our unique assets enhance <br />the City's competitive advantage to attract new enterprises, and Louisville is a place people <br />and businesses want to call home. <br />2021 - 2022 Priority Initiatives: <br />• Develop business retention support programs to assist those most economically impacted from <br />the COVID-19 pandemic. (Economic Prosperity) <br />• Develop Economic Vitality Strategic Plan, including tools and programs focused on increasing <br />retail sales and attracting and inviting a more diverse customer base and sources of revenue to <br />the City. (Economic Prosperity) <br />0 Reliable Core Services <br />Louisville is a safe community that takes comfort in knowing core services, such as police, roads, <br />water and basic maintenance, are fair, effective, consistent, and reliable. Excellent customer service <br />is provided in the delivery of all City services. The City is prepared for emergencies and offers residents <br />peace of mind knowing basic municipal services are planned for and carried out. <br />2021 - 2022 Priority Initiatives: <br />• Complete SH 42 4 lane 30% conceptual design plan and pursue funding/budget for corridor <br />improvements. (Transportation) <br />• Install/implement transportation infrastructure improvements that foster mobility for all ages and <br />abilities and reduce safety impacts, consistent with the Transportation Master Plan. (Transportation) <br />• Complete the Police Department renovations to incorporate an emergency operations center in the <br />existing facility. (Public Safety & Justice) <br />• Incorporate sustainable practices in City operations, facilities, programs and services in an effort to <br />support the City's renewable energy and carbon emission reduction goals and to serve as a role <br />model for the community. (Utilities, Administration & Support Services) <br />• Continue work on raw water supply projects such as S WSP Capacity Upgrade, Windy Gap Firming, <br />Water Acquisition, and Marshall Lake Sediment Control/Removal. (Utilities) <br />• Continue to review Police Department and Municipal Court operations, approaches and polices to <br />support on equitable approach to community safety, resources and referrals around community <br />mental health needs, and promote a fair and equitable justice system.
