LL• <br />Lolsville <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />Economic Vitality Committee <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Friday, November 18, 2020 <br />Regular Electronic Meeting <br />Call to Order: Councilmember Dickinson (Chair) called the electronic meeting <br />to order at 1:35 PM. <br />II. Roll Call: The following members of the City Council were present: <br />Councilmember Dickinson, Mayor Pro Tern Maloney, and Councilmember Leh. <br />Also present were City Manager Heather Balser, Economic Vitality Director <br />Megan Pierce, and nine members of the public. <br />III. Approval of Agenda: Mayor Pro Tern Maloney made a motion to approve the <br />agenda. Motion was seconded by Councilmember Leh. Motion passed. <br />IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes: Councilmember Leh made a motion to approve <br />the meeting minutes of October 16, 2020 as presented; motion was seconded <br />by Mayor Pro Tern Maloney. Motion passed. <br />V. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda: None. <br />VI. Discussion- Economic Vitality Strategic Plan: Director Pierce noted that the <br />draft Economic Vitality Strategic Plan was presented to City Council on <br />November 10, 2020. The plan was adopted by City Council with no changes. <br />She also reviewed the initiatives which are prioritized to start in 2021 and that <br />the assignment of responsibility will need to be reviewed as the function of the <br />Economic Vitality Committee (EVC) and the Business Retention & Development <br />Committee (BRaD) are determined. <br />Chair Dickinson said the lack of questions and concerns by Councilmembers <br />was reflective of the good work done on the plan as well as the continual <br />communication. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney stated that Council had discussed the need for more <br />resources in the area of economic vitality.
