NEW MEMBER ORIENTATION — FINANCIAL POLICIES Kevin Watson, Finance Director, presented an overview of the City's financial policies, including the Introduction Section and the following eight Policy Sections: 1. General Policies 2. Reserve Policies 3. Debt Policies 4. Revenue Policies 5. Operating Budget Policies 6. Investment Policies 7. Capital Asset Management Policies 8. Accounting, Auditing, and Financial Reporting Policies Mayor Pro Tern Maloney and Director Watson facilitated the discussion and addressed questions. The reports and corresponding narrative can be located in the packet of the December 15, 2020 Finance Committee Meeting. FINAL ASSESSED VALUATION Kevin Watson, Finance Director, presented the final assessed valuations as received by the Boulder County Assessor. The final valuations are very similar to the preliminary valuations. Director Watson also discussed increases in valuations during re -assessment years and non -reassessment years.
