Open Space Advisory Board Minutes Jan. 13, 2021 Page 4 of 4 shifted to include maintenance and management. The board's four major operational goals as outlined by the MOST document are: manage our natural resources, enhance user experiences, engage citizens, and acquire property rights. For each goal, the board created several objectives. The board then came up with possible action items for each objective. These action items were intended for inspiration and examples, but not as a formal prescription for Open Space staff. Ember did a similar process with her Open Space staff, using the same framework and goalsetting. Helen concluded her presentation with Wayfinding 2020-2021 Next Steps and a potential CIP project schedule. David asked who the main consumer for the MOST document was intended to be. Helen answered that she thought it could inform Council what Open Space operations really entailed and how complex and rich it could be. Jessamine asked whether Ember would be willing to share the results of the Ember's exercise with staff. Ember said she'd be willing to share the staff's work plan for 2021, which has similar organization. Jessamine told Ember that that she would like to be sure that the OSAB goals are informed by the staff's goals, so the OSAB could be supportive of staff. 12. Discussions Items for the Next Meeting on Wednesday February 10, 2021 A. 2021 OSAB Goals B. Open Space 2021 Education Plan: Staff will present OSAB a list of proposed educational programming for 2021 and ask for OSAB feedback. C. McCaslin Underpass Art: A member of the city's Cultural Board will present the plan for the art in the underpass. D. Wayfinding update E. Update from Redtail Ridge F. Try again to plan a joint meeting with PPLAB meeting. Anneliese volunteered to spearhead dog park issues. Ember will start sending Anneliese documents pertaining to the issue. 13.
