As opposed to information -based campaigns, Community -based Social Marketing has been
proven to be effective at fostering sustainable behavior change. Providing ongoing education and engagement
to residents and the business community ensures the greatest likelihood of behavior change in terms of
sustainability initiatives and efforts.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, providing quality and sustained EE for residents and businesses has been
difficult, however through adaptive thinking, programming was able to adapt and still be successful. In 2021,
planning on EE has begun. Volunteers are needed on the items highlighted in yellow.
