SUBJECT: COVID-19 CITY REOPENING AND RECOVERY <br />DATE: FEBRUARY 23, 2021 PAGE 8 OF 14 <br />Patron attendance: <br />Average attendance for the 2017-2019 seasons was 15,271 <br />✓ Average season daily attendance for 2019 was 127/day (June — August) <br />✓ This did not include <br />■ Private rentals <br />■ Summer Camps <br />Louisville Public Library: <br />City of Louisville Public Library will continue to operate with limited open hours, curbside <br />services, we browse for you service, and some computer access hours for the next few <br />months. The City reduced Library staff due to the COVID pandemic, and is currently <br />increasing staff capacity to more fully open for in -person services, consistent with public <br />health guidance. <br />Starting March 8t" all departments will be open for limited service. <br />Patrons will have access to browse the entire library <br />Access computers (30 min) for adults and children <br />No seating will be available (except at computer terminals) <br />Curbside, Grab and go, and We Browse for You services will continue to be <br />available <br />Drop-offs can occur 24/7 at the drive thru drop-off, or in person, in the building <br />during open hours <br />Hours of operation: <br />• Monday 1 pm-5pm (Curbside only) <br />• Tuesday/Thursday 1 pm — 7pm <br />• Wednesday 11 am — 5pm <br />• Friday/Sunday 1 pm — 5pm <br />Starting May 17t" the Library will be open 34 hours each week, with additional expanded <br />services. <br />• Additional 4 hours of dedicated curbside service. <br />o Curbside service will continue as long as there is enough demand to justify <br />the staff investment. <br />o When Curbside service is discontinued, those hours will be added to the <br />Library's open hours to allow for more in -person services. <br />o Once more in -person access to the building is restored, it may be necessary <br />to meter access to the Children's area during peak times to ensure <br />distancing guidelines are followed. <br />• All departments will continue to be open for browsing. <br />• Seating for quiet study will open. <br />• Some study rooms will be made available for single person and small group use. <br />• Computers will be available with traditional time limits. <br />• We Browse for You service continues. <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />0 <br />
