ORDINANCE NO. 1290 <br />~ Series 1998 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE INCREASING WATER AND SEWER TAP FEES AND BULK WATER CHARGES <br />IN THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to keep pace with inflation and the rising costs of providing water and sewer <br />services, City staff has recommended an increase of approximately two and nine-tenths percent (2.9%) in City <br />water and sewer tap fees, commencing January 1, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order to keep pace with inflation and the rising costs of providing water service, city staff <br />has further recommended an increase in the City's bulk water rates, which rates have not been adjusted since <br />1991; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Louisville, Colorado, has determined that increases in the <br />water and sewer tap fees and bulk water rates charged by the City are necessary to adequately finance the services <br />provided by the City's water and sewer activity enterprises. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: <br /> <br /> Section 1.
