Louisville Revitalization Commission
Work Plan
Project Areas & Actions
Owner
Timeframe
Funding
I Priority
Notes:
Staff is not aware of any projects that would fall into this area. This may be an item to
consider for a "parking lot" or simply to handle through a new project request if a need is
determined in the future.
b. Improve East Side parking lots @
LRC
MTLT
$$
MEDIUM
Sports Complex/Hwy 42 to provide
expanded downtown parking
availability
Notes:
This project is not likely feasible until after Hwy 42 Corridor improvements have been
completed. Until there is likely more trail and sidewalk connectivity in that corridor, the
parking lot connectivity is not a significant benefit to Downtown needs.
c. Fund sidewalk improvement for
LRC/TMP
MT
$
HIGH
Griffith and Pine Streets @ Rail
$22,200*
crossing (part of Quiet Zone
projects)- SW3 and SW4
Notes:
PW staff noted this work is anticipated to be completed in spring/summer 2021. If LRC
supports funding, there would need to be a Cooperation Agreement between the City and
LRC.
d. Fund sidewalk improvement for Hwy
LRC/TMP
LT
$$
MEDIUM
42 (from South to Pine)
$700,000
Notes:
The infrastructure requirements for the sidewalk were beyond what was originally
anticipated (engineering, drainage, etc.), so this project will be delayed until the broader Hwy
42 Corridor improvements are advanced. The estimated project costs may also change based
on this feedback.
e. Contribute funding for construction
LRC/TMP
LT
$$$
MEDIUM
of Underpass at Hwy 42 & South
$8.0 M
Street- GS2
Notes:
City Council is scheduled to discuss a transportation ballot measure on April 13. If there is
support for that path, there might be a desire to have LRC match tax funds generated in order
to complete the two underpass projects given the high price tag for each. Staff will share the
Council materials with LRC once available.
Agenda Packet P. 12
