March 31,2008 @ 7:00 PM Council Chambers <br />. April 3, 2008 @ 8:30 AM Council Chambers <br /> <br />Lipton reminded the Commissioners of the Open Government Training stating that all <br />Commissioners should plan to attend one of the two training dates. <br /> <br />Tengler asked if they need to register. <br /> <br />Staff said they do not need to register but should remember to sign-in when they arrive for the <br />training as that is how staff knows they were in attendance. <br /> <br />'" RV - Trailer Public Workshop (March 6,2008) - Update <br /> <br />Wood provided a summary of the workshop that was held on March 6,2008. There were <br />approximately 15 attendees and a general support for the revised ordinance. The Planning <br />Commission will review the ordinance at the April 1 ih meeting. <br /> <br />Russell inquired if the ordinance addresses on-street parking. <br /> <br />Wood stated the ordinance does not address on-street parking but there is a section in the <br />municipal code that addresses parking in the ROW. <br /> <br />'" Planning Commission Training - <br /> <br />Wood discussed there are opportunities for the Commission to attend trainings / workshops. Staff <br />will keep them advised as to what is available. The cost of those workshops would be covered by <br />the City. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Comments: <br />Loo discussed with staff the outstanding issue of the automotive use at Alpine Lumber. <br /> <br />Staff stated a letter had been sent to the property owner regarding the requirements for a special <br />review use process for the continued use of the property. <br /> <br />Loo stated she had served on the interview panel for a new Planning Department Staff Member <br />and requested an update. <br /> <br />Staff reported the selection of Alice Hanson for the Planner I position and she will start to work <br />in early April. <br />
