Distribution of Open Government and Ethics Pamphlet: Muth explained that <br />the City Charter requires that the pamphlet be distributed at the first meeting of the <br />year of every public body. <br />VIII. Discussion of 2009 Officers and Committee Assignments: It was decided that <br />the Commission members will discuss the officer positions and committee <br />assignments at the February meeting. <br />IX. Treasurer's Report: Don Ross presented the November and December <br />Treasurer's Report. The total amount of Commission funds was reported to be <br />$26,151.75. A motion was made and carried to send a fruit basket to Dave <br />Ferguson. <br />X. Executive Director's Report <br />A. An insert for membership will begin to appear in the City's utility bills. <br />B. Aline Steinbaugh's term on the Commission has ended. The Commission <br />decided to give her a gift certificate for $75 in appreciation of her service. <br />C. City Council would like to review a work plan for proposed projects in 2009- <br />2010 at the time of the Commission's study session with Council scheduled for <br />August. <br />D. Following the passage of the historic preservation sales tax in November, the <br />Historic Preservation Commission is working on structuring a program to carry <br />out the goals of the tax. <br />XI. Museum Coordinator's Report <br />A. Deeds of Gift <br />1. Grace & Jack Dionigi -information relating to the WWII service of John <br />Bosko of Louisville, and travelers cheques dating from 1913 that were <br />found in Louisville <br />2. Katherine Stengel -scans of historic photos showing the Lippis residence <br />at 921 Main Street <br />3. Ruth Mayor -two photos of Rainbow Girls standing in front of Louisville <br />High School, 1941 <br />4. Public Works Department -two maps of Louisville, one of which shows <br />planned and completed street improvements in 1948 <br />5. Mike Koertje -maps of Louisville, including linen subdivision maps that <br />were being disposed of by Boulder County <br />6. Barb McKee - CD of information relating to her home at 1045 La Farge <br />7. Mariann Lastoka -family history that she wrote about the Harney and <br />Lastoka families <br />B. Correspondence and News Coverage -Museum publications were shared <br />with the Commission, along with December publicity about the Holiday Home <br />Tour and information about upcoming historical programs in Boulder. <br />C. Visitors Report and Tours -There were 97 visitors to the Museum in <br />November, for a YTD total of 1,553, and 367 visitors to the Museum in <br />December, for 2008 total of 1,920. This appears to be the highest yearly total <br />since records were first kept. The Boulder Daily Camera has been promoting <br />the idea of visiting our Museum because it is a free activity.
