'j--.. ~ __ 0:-. . .". . <br />;, t,ii~- <br />~t\.. <br />:.I~.~--__. <br /> <br />anuary 1, 2007. <br />In order to be most equitable, <br />a flat monthly fee of $2.00 will be <br />assessed on single-family residential units while multi- <br />family units and commercial businesses will be assessed <br />fees based on the impervious surface area (driveways, <br />parking lots, rooftops, etc.) of each developed property. <br />Stormwater drains untreated into the watersheds <br />which are inhabited by many animals and aquatic <br />plants. Without proper management these water <br />resources could degrade and lower the quality of life in <br />our community, as well as put us at serious risk of los- <br />ing some of our natural resources through flooding. <br />diversity of problems and priorities means that <br />there is no single solution for the city. However, we <br />a flexible approach <br />to funding that will be designed to meet the needs of <br />the citizens of Louisville and help protect our valuable <br />natural resources. <br />If you have questions about the stormwater program <br />or the new fee, please contact Stormwater Program <br />Manager Ken Mason at 303.335.4780. <br /> <br /> <br />ANIMAL SIGHTINGS <br /> <br />Since January 2006, a number of mountain lion <br />sightings have been reported in and around Louis- <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />majority of sightings have been made along <br />opens spaces north of South Boulder Road <br />or within the Tamarisk Open Space between <br />Harper Lake and Via Appia. Should you see <br />a mountain lion please report the sighting <br />immediately to the City by calling non-emer- <br />gency dispatch at 303.441.4444. <br />In addition to moutain lions, residents may encoun- <br />ter skunks, racoons, coyotes, foxes, and dogs without <br />tags. All animal control and wildlife issues may be <br />reported to dispatch at 303.441.4444.
