The program provides for on(' contrac-
tor to st'rvice those single-Eunily homes not currently snved
und<:r an HOA contract. It would also include recycling at no
additional cost. At press time the City Council was scheduled
to consid<:r the authorization of a proposal for perspective
bidders on August 19. Should authorization be granted, staff
will send the proposal to interested contractors and results
\vill he available the end of September. City Council will then
select a bid for service latn in Octobn.
The basis f()r the City's involvem<:nt in waste collection
is to consolidate and minimize the numbn of waste collec-
tion vehicles on City str<:ets. Additionally, similar programs
in neighboring communities hav(' resulted in a notic<:able
increase in recycling rates corI1lI1unity-wide.
If you would like more inhmnation about this program
or would like to off<:r comments, please contact the Pub-
lic \X/orb Dqurrrnent at pworks@ci.louisville.co.us or call
3{U.335.46 13 to leave your comments.

Consider this: shopping in Louisville saves you time, and gas.
