City Council conducted study sessions on the topic in
January and March of 2007.
to work with residents in draft-
ing an ordinance that would meet both the City Council's
conducted several public
workshops and Planning Commission public hearings to take
drafted an ordinance that

stated the following:
· A total maximum of two recreational vehicles are al-
lowed on a residential lot.
· No more than one recreational vehicle may be parked
in the front setback.
· A recreational vehicle in the front setback must be
parked on an improved surface (driveway or an im-
proved surface next to the driveway).
· No encroachment into a public right-of-way is allowed
maximum length of a recreational vehicle that can
be parked on a residential lot is 32 feet.
On August 5, 2008 the City Council approved Ordinance
No. 1537, Series 2008 thereby approving all of these new
efFect on October 1,

2008.
For more information regarding the new regulations,
please contact the Police Department Code Enforcement
Division at 303.666.6531.

SEWER BACK-UPS
CAN BE EXPENSIVE

Sewer backups can be expensive, cause a great deal of
damage, and be an inconvenience. A homeowner's best
defense is a course of preventive maintenance. Replacing a
sewer service can be a very expensive project so a little preven-
tative maintenance could go a long way.
Most homeowner's insurance policies DO NOT cover
damage to personal property caused by a backup of sewage
from a City sewer main line into a private residence. Many
a homeowner's insurance policy
rider that can be purchased to cover the costs of cleanup and
cost of the rider is minimal,
typically less than $40 per year. You may want to review your
homeowner's insurance policy and talk to your insurance
agent about adding this coverage to your policy.
