SUBJECT: LEVEL CLEAR COVID-19 AND SPECIAL EVENTS UPDATE <br />DATE: MAY 11, 2021 PAGE 4 OF 8 <br />Remove 6 foot social distancing requirements indoors and for outdoor activities <br />and programs. Social distancing is encouraged when possible. <br />Retain public health and safety measures at least through the end of Level Clear <br />(August 15, 2021) including: <br />o No building entry if you feel ill <br />o Hand sanitizer and hand washing recommended <br />o Plexi-glass barriers at in -person service stations <br />o Sanitizing of frequently touched surfaces <br />Different hours and days of opening/in-person services will be observed at each <br />facility, and many online services will continue to be provided. <br />o City Hall, White House and Police/Courts will be open Monday — Thursday <br />from 9am — 2pm. Remote/online services will continue to be provided <br />Monday — Friday from 8am — 5pm. <br />The City has also adopted a new Telework and Remote work policy, which went <br />into place on May 1, 2021. When the City transitions to more in -person service <br />hours, many employees will begin to implement their new telework schedules. <br />This will not impact in -person services at City facilities, as telework plans have <br />been approved by Supervisors and Directors to ensure continuity of in -person <br />services when and where they are needed. The City will continue to provide <br />many services and some programs remotely. <br />2021 Summer Special Event Planning: <br />With summer quickly approaching, the City has begun planning for the management of <br />public health protocols at various City sponsored special events, as well as City <br />permitted events. Generally speaking, the City will work to balance the desires of the <br />community in participating in beloved community events and the recommended public <br />health protocols in place at the time of each event. In Level Clear, there are no <br />restrictions on special events, with the exception of very large events (over 30,000 <br />attendees) which are regulated under state guidance. At the time of drafting this Council <br />Communication, facial covering orders remain in place for all indoor places of public <br />accommodation in the City of Louisville and across Boulder County in certain settings. <br />Touch -a -Truck: <br />The Touch -a -truck event that typically takes place over Memorial Day weekend will not <br />be held this year. <br />Summer Reading Celebration — Louisville Public Library <br />• The Library will hold a summer reading kick-off event on June 11, 2021. <br />• The event will be open to the public, and will be outdoors in the Library parking <br />lot, on Front Street in front of the Library, and at Steinbaugh Pavilion. <br />• There will be activities and music. Concerts/music events will be by registration. <br />• The event will be set up to utilize the entire space, support social <br />distancing/spreading out of attendees. <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMUNICATION <br />5 <br />
