Q. Is there a reason that deciduous trees were chosen rather than evergreens for the
east side of the truck unloading?
A. No.
Q. What are you hours of operation, manufacturing hours and delivery hours?
A. Typically we would operate from 7:30 to 4:30 or 8:00 to 5:00. It is not
anticipated that there will be second shift work. As far as truck traffic there will
be one large truck every 7 - 10 days. There would be smaller trucks, UPS,
Federal Express, that would be more frequent.
Q. Do you handle any volatile materials in your manufacturing process?
A. Acetone is the only thing we use in terms of a cleaning agent. That is used in
very minimal amounts. Typically what we would have on hand would be no more
than five gallons.
Q. Is the expansion space show for SPF or is it for future lease space?
A. No. It is for our own use.
Q. Will the outdoor storage remain if the expansion space is built?
A. We have set it up that it is the outdoor storage anticipated with the expansion as
well. We are hopeful that we will not need to move that.
Q. It is considered to remain at this location and continue even after the expansion?
A. Yes.
Q. On your proposed building you have what looks to be a drive in, or drive thru. Is
it a continuous lane through, or is it an entrance from both ends?
A. There is a dock at the east end that is necessary for the incoming materials to be
unloaded. However, because of the large vessels that are made there are two
cranes that need to pick up the vessels. The vessels are set on a flat bed, so the
truck has to back in to pick them up, but it is not a drive through operation.
Q. Is a similar type of access required on the expansion space?
A. Not necessarily. The expansion space will probably be more of machine shop type
activity.
Q. Is there any site or building lighting?
A. There will be site lighting on the building itself. That will shine to the parking
areas and over the doors.
Q. Is that referenced on your elevations?
A. Yes. It is the funny looking triangles.
Q. What type of fixture is that?
A. It is a down cast fixture for the parking lot.
Q. Wattage?
A. I am not sure.
Q. Before you get to council could you get the plans labeled for lighting along with
specs for the lighting detail?
A. Yes.
Q. Is parking going to be a problem with the addition of the expansion area?
A. Including the expansion we exceed one space for every 600 square feet.
Q. To Staff - Would an eight foot fence be any problem with public safety?
4
