Mayer preferred the facility to be only two-story. He was concerned about speeding and traffic in <br />general in this area. He agreed with Lathrop's comments and he wanted more landscaping. <br /> <br />Keany felt the community needed this senior care facility. He did agree with his fellow councilmen's <br />constructive comments. <br /> <br />Levihn did not like the height or that it looked like a hotel. <br /> <br />Davidson liked the design, although it did look somewhat like an institution. He did feel it should be <br />a two-story. He did not mind the artificial stone facing as long as it appeared real. He did not mind <br />the vinyl siding as Karen's in the County has vinyl siding. <br /> <br />Sisk moved that Council send the Balfour Senior Care project on to the Planning Commission, <br />seconded by Mayer. All in favor. <br /> <br />OTHER REGULAR BUSINESS ITEMS ARISING AFTER PREPARATION OF AGENDA <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />NONE <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br /> <br />Bill Simmons, City Administrator, pointed out the letter they had received from the representatives <br />of Colony Square. The City is working with them on issues relating to their property: 80th Street <br />right-of-way which was vacated in 1993 and their proposed use of Parcel S3, the City's open space <br />parcel on McCaslin Blvd. for on-site detention and drainage. The City has been informed that <br />Wonderland Homes has under contract the 10 acre Trinity Church property located between <br />Roosevelt Avenue and County Road, south of Rex Street. The first of the neighborhood meetings <br />will be at the Library on Tuesday, June 3 at 6:30 p.m. He reported that at the May 27 Work Session <br />they will be meeting with the district representative of the RTD and the manager of the RTD. <br />Council will also be looking at a review of water rates and a preliminary 1998 Budget calendar for <br />review. He commented that the Mayor and Mayor Pro-rem met with their counterparts for the Town <br />of Superior last Friday discussing the contents of an IGA regarding revenue sharing and disconnection <br />of potential annexation of properties to respective communities. There were some language changes <br />discussed. A new draft IGA is being prepared with the Town of Superior.
