2. Definitions. The following words used in this MOU have the following meanings unless the context clearly indicates otherwise: "Student One Initiative" means the partnership between BVSD and the Library for exchange of student data so that student identification numbers will access the Library's research databases. 3. Purpose. The Library and BVSD agree to work collaboratively as outlined in this MOU. For School Year 2021-2022, the BVSD-issued student identification numbers ("BVSD Student ID") for a limited group of students will become automatic Library research database accounts, and the participation of students will expand to include all BVSD students by August 1, 2021. 4. Obligations of City. City responsibilities are as follows: A. Streamline student access to Library research databases by integrating BVSD Student ID numbers and Library accounts through the Student One Initiative, allowing every student hi the Louisville service area of the Boulder Valley School District instant access to all Louisville Public Library research databases. B. Work with BVSD to develop information that describes the Student One Initiative to parents or legal guardians. Obligations of BVSD. BVSD responsibilities are as follows: A. Support implementation of the Student One Initiative by providing the Library with a database containing Student ID numbers, first and last name, school and school address of each student eru•olled in BVSD, This database will be updated monthly as new students enroll in the district. B. Work with tine Library to develop and distribute handouts and website information to create awareness of tine Student One Initiative, 6, Confidentiality. A. All student data or information provided by BVSD is considered confidential. B. The Library agrees to use education records only for the purpose of providing services pursuant to this MOU and shall not disclose personally identifiable information to other parties, unless BVSD provides written authorization for such disclosure. C. For purposes of this MOU, the City agrees to the terms set forth in the Data Protection Addendum, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Project Coordinators. A. Project Coordinator, Rae Ciciora, Digital Literacy Specialist, is designated as the Project Coordinator for BVSD. The Project Coordinator shall be the BVSD representative in connection with the Library's performance under, and is fully authorized to act on behalf of BVSD in connection with, this MOU.
