RESOLUTION NO. 13 <br />SERIES 2021 <br />A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE SECTION 17.20.170 CONCERNING ELECTRIC <br />VEHICLE CHARGING EQUIPMENT <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville is a Colorado home rule municipal corporation <br />duly organized and existing under laws of the State of Colorado and the City Charter; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Louisville remains committed to its adopted goals to reduce <br />energy consumption, increase clean energy sources, and support the transition to a low - <br />carbon community as outlined in the Sustainability Action Plan and Resolution 25 Series <br />19 A Resolution Setting Clean Energy and Carbon Reduction Goals; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission recognizes that requiring Electric Vehicle <br />Charging Infrastructure is an effective strategy to reduce community -wide fossil fuel <br />consumption and increase long-term savings for residents and business; and <br />WHEREAS, after a duly noticed public hearing held September 9, 2021, where <br />evidence and testimony were entered into the record, including the Louisville Planning <br />Commission Staff Report dated September 9, 2021, the Louisville Planning Commission <br />has recommended the City Council adopt the amendments to the LMC set forth in this <br />ordinance; and <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the <br />City of Louisville, Colorado does hereby recommend approval the proposed ordinance <br />amendment to Section 17.16.170 concerning electric vehicle charging infrastructure. <br />PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9t" day of September, 2021. <br />Attest: <br />Debra Williams, Secretary <br />Planning Commission <br />IS <br />Steve Brauneis, Chairperson <br />Planning Commission <br />
