2022 Open Space Advisory Board
R E"uyi
fsville
COLORADO • SINCE 1878
4. What professional qualifications, skill sets, and relevant experiences do you have for this position?
I have been on the open space advisory board for four years, so the first thing that I bring
is experience. Beyond that, I am a critical thinker and like to soak in as much information
on an issue before forming an opinion. I value consensus building and realize that being
"right" on an issue is never more important than showing respect for others. As anybody
on OSAB would attest, I am diligent about staying informed on city issues even beyond
what directly impacts open space and I help us identify potential topics for future
discussion.
5. APPLYING FOR REAPPOINTMENT ONLY. • Should you be reappointed, what would you like to see
the Open Space Board accomplish in your next term?
The two main tiger teams that are active in OSAB right now relate to trails and wayfinding
and I think those represent two of the main areas where we need to continue making
progress. With trails we would like to roll out a policy on how to handle social trails and I
see this as a critical piece in developing what could ultimately be a trails master plan. In
the area of wayfinding, we need to take that next step and move into formal design and a
proof of concept that the new signage approach will work along the Powerline Trail
corridor. Lastly, we are fresh off another assessment of potential land acquisitions and I
hope that we can have some discussions with city staff and city council on how to make
at least one of the higher priority acquisitions a reality.
Submit this questionnaire with your general application form by email to
MeredythM(cDLouisvilleCO.gov or deliver it to City Hall, 749 Main Street. City Hall is open Monday —
Thursday, 9 am — 2 pm.
Applications are due by November 8 at 4:00 pm.
Please contact Meredyth Muth at MeredythM&Iouisvilleco.gov or 303.335.4536 if you have questions
or need assistance with language access resources or other accommodations.
Interviews may be scheduled for December 13; you may need to be available that evening for a short interview
with the City Council.
30
