04y`of 2022 Library Board of Trustees
Louisville Supplemental Questions
COLORADO -SINCE 1878
Applicant Name: Laura Cole
The Library Board of Trustees advises the City Council and the Library Director about local
policy.
The Board meets the second Thursday of odd -numbered months at 6:30 pm.
Terms are four years.
You must be a resident of Louisville to serve.
I. Briefly explain your interest on serving on the Library Board.
Since moving to Louisville last June, I have been continually impressed with the library.
As a former educator and current stay-at-home mom, I would like to give back to my new
community. I'm hoping my experience and passion for reading will be valuable in this
capacity.
2. Do you have a library card?
Yes!
3. What is one thing you would keep and one thing you would change about the Library?
My toddler son and I have really enjoyed the story times and we love the board and
picture book collections. To improve the children's section even more, I would
recommend organizing the picture book titles by subject to make them more easily
accessible for young readers.
As a newer resident, I'm unsure if this has been done in the past, but it would be great to
host book clubs. This would be a great way for residents to get to know each other and
read great books!
55
