Why is the Library important to Louisville? <br />WCitiuisy,�'f . <br />L vxIIe <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />The library is an essential community center for Louisville. It is a tremendous resource <br />for our children to develop a love of reading. Library events have the power to bring <br />people together at any age. <br />5. What qualifications, skill sets, and relevant experiences do you have that would be beneficial for this <br />position? <br />As a former elementary school principal, I oversaw our school library. During my tenure <br />we undertook a weeding of the entire collection and we also recategorized the picture <br />book section by subject. We hosted many library events, created a MakerSpace, and <br />integrated 21st century skills into the library curriculum. <br />Additionally, as the building leader I have much experience collaborating, <br />communicating, and understanding the needs of many different stakeholders. <br />6.
