It meets <br />the criteria for landmark designation by age, architectural significance, cultural <br />significance, and physical integrity. She reviewed the criteria for a preservation grant <br />noting how this construction fits into the preservation, rehabilitation, and restoration areas. <br />The Historic Preservation Commission reviewed both requests and recommends <br />approval; staff also recommends approval of both the landmark designation and grant <br />resolution. <br />Public Comments - None <br />Mayor Stolzmann thanked the applicant for bringing this forward. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney stated this is exactly the intention of the program and he <br />supports it. The city is currently <br />under the 2018 IECC with prescriptive energy and design criteria and solar readiness for <br />residential and commercial buildings. The IECC is updated every three years, but this <br />year is the first edition with significant efficiency gains since 2012.
