Museum's 35th anniversary celebration in August £t September: The <br />Museum, with the support of the Foundation, is looking at sponsoring a <br />vintage baseball game in September, launching a Louisville timeline on the <br />website, and organizing a few walking tours that could be under the <br />umbrella of the anniversary celebration. Commission members offered <br />suggestions for publicizing the baseball game. <br />C. Approval of Deeds of Gifts from donors: <br />The Commission members approved, by vote 5 to 0, the following 5 <br />donations: <br />Cheryl Craig - "Men" and "Ladies" glass restroom signs from the Rex <br />Theatre; coal scuttle for the Education Collection. <br />Keith Keller - hand -cut nails from floorboards in his historic Louisville <br />home. <br />Nancy Allen - photos of Louisville in 1992. <br />Dan Mellish - yard sign used in the successful 2020 election campaign for a <br />plastic bag tax. <br />Tiffany Boyd - photos of campaign volunteers working on the 2020 election <br />campaign for a plastic bag tax. <br />D. Advice sought on donations of other artifacts being offered: no advice <br />sought <br />VIII. Chairperson's Report: no report <br />IX. Pioneer Award Selection: The Commission discussed the possibility of <br />acknowledging the efforts of community members during the pandemic in some <br />way. The Commission postponed the selection to the next meeting. <br />X. Updates on recent Historic Preservation Commission meetings: The Commission <br />was updated on issues that have come before the HPC recently. <br />XI. Louisville History Foundation update: The Foundation has been working on an <br />insert for membership to go with the City utility bills. The Foundation approved a <br />2021 budget for the Museum (to supplement the City budget) that includes <br />funding for artifact conservation and to boost selected Instagram posts. <br />XII. Commission comments Ft discussion items for next meeting: Pioneer Award <br />XIII.
