Historical Commission <br />Minutes <br />September 15, 2021 <br />Page 2of3 <br />B. Museum buildings, campus, and "Museum Courtyard" updates: Painting <br />of the Museum's buildings will start soon, using the same colors the <br />building are already painted. Work is commencing to have a design for the <br />Tomeo House front porch and replacing balusters on back deck of the <br />Jordinelli house. Also, the courtyard is almost set up on the Museum's <br />campus and work on the ash pit is completed. <br />VII. Report from Sharon Nemechek, Director of Library Ft Museum Services: No <br />report <br />VIII. Report from Bridget Bacon, Museum Services Supervisor: <br />A. Museum Services Supervisor's report: No additional information from <br />written report <br />B. Museum's 35tn anniversary celebration >:t Louisville History Month in <br />September: The Commission talked about the vintage baseball game that <br />happened on the 11tn with an estimated turnout of 450 people. The <br />Louisville Timeline will be launched on the Museum's website on the 20tn <br />The City adopted the proclamation for September to be Louisville History <br />Month. <br />C. Updates on other Museum operations and programs: A program is coming <br />up for Indigenous Peoples Day, and two walking tours will take place in <br />September. <br />D. Approval of Deeds of Gifts from donors: <br />The Commission members approved by vote 7 to 0, the following donations: <br />1. Kevin Thede £t Ronda Leggett - items from their Main Street business, <br />the Marketplace Bakery, and from Louisville High School. <br />2. Dick Del Pizzo - Replica of the buildings that stood at Memory Square <br />Park that he made to be exhibited at the Museum (not to be part of the <br />permanent collection as an artifact). <br />3. Grace Dionigi - seven photos from the Dionigi family and related items. <br />4. Janet Jones Ft Barbara Hesson - items from the Austin family relating <br />to Louisville history, including booklets, postcards, and three historic <br />Louisville newspaper issues that the Museum did not previously have. <br />5. Darlieen Del Pizzo - business receipts, Fire Dept. Auxiliary cookbook, <br />and Centaurus High School items. <br />6.
