Advice sought on donations of other artifacts being offered: No advice <br />sought <br />IX. Chairperson's Report: No report <br />X. Pioneer Award Program: <br />A. Chamber of Commerce event on Sept. 23 to recognize Chamber award <br />recipients and possibility of including the 2020 Pioneer Award: Paula is <br />working on contacting the recipient to see if he can attend the event on <br />the 23rd. <br />B. Discussion/Selection of 2021 Pioneer Award Recipient: The Commission <br />discussed possible recipients for the award. The Commission approved by <br />vote 7 to 0 to select the Community of Louisville as the recipient of the <br />2021 Pioneer Award as a way of recognizing the many people in Louisville <br />who rose to the occasion in extraordinary ways during the pandemic. <br />C. Process for bringing the Pioneer Award Guidelines up to date (Paula): <br />The Commission discussed revising the guidelines to update wording to <br />include considerations of equity, diversity and inclusion and to update the <br />recipient list. Andrew and Leah offered to work on the language revision to <br />have something to provide to Paula, who is also updating sections. <br />XI. Updates on recent Historic Preservation Commission meetings: Leah gave an <br />update on recent HPC actions and the project to put together a coloring book of <br />Louisville landmarks. <br />XII. Louisville History Foundation update: No update <br />XIII. Possibility of meeting in person for the next meetings: The City has decided to <br />have all board and commission meeting by Zoom for the rest of the year. <br />XIV. Commission comments Et discussion items for next meeting: None <br />XV. Close meeting Et adjourn: The LHC meeting adjourned at 7:41 pm.
