CITY OF LOUISVILLE <br />SERVICES CONTRACT <br />THIS CONTRACT is made effective this ICO day of 9DV+Eo9,F P,-2021 by and between the <br />City of Louisville, Colorado, a Colorado home rule city (the "City"), and Boulder Emergency Squad, <br />Inc., a Colorado non-profit corporation (hereinafter referred to as the "BES" or the "Contractor"). <br />RECITALS <br />WHEREAS, BES is an organization of volunteer rescue professionals who provide technical <br />search, rescue, and other emergency support services within Boulder County; and <br />WHEREAS, during times when exigent, urgent ("Exigent") circumstances exist for support and <br />assistance for public safety within the City, BES has the expertise and capabilities to provide support <br />services to the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the parties find it is in their best interest to enter into a contract for the services <br />described herein. <br />COVENANTS AND CONDITIONS <br />NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the terms, conditions and covenants herein stated, the <br />parties agree as follows: <br />1. _BES's Responsibilities. BES agrees, at the request of the City, to provide the following <br />services to the best of its ability and with due regard for its existing contractual obligations: <br />a. BES may provide services to assist the City search for missing persons, including the use <br />of Unmanned Aerial Systems ("Drones") as a mutual aid request for incidents within the <br />City. <br />b. BES may provide a response to assist the City with water evidence searches as a mutual <br />aid request when such services are within the expertise and availability of BES volunteers. <br />BES may provide additional services on mutual aid request by the City when Exigent <br />circumstances exist and for which BES is able to respond without impacting contractual <br />obligations to Boulder County and the Sheriff's Office and to the extent BES volunteers <br />are willing and available to provide such services on the incident. These additional <br />services may include field force extrication, emergency scene lighting, and use of the <br />SARCOM mobile command vehicle. <br />d. BES shall respond in routine mode (aka non -emergency) unless otherwise requested by <br />the City or at the discretion of a BES field officer based on known information and <br />conditions (collectively, the items set forth in subsections a through d are referred <br />to as <br />the "Services"). <br />
