ORDINANCE NO. 1316 SERIES 1999 An Ordinance Adopting By Reference The 1997 Edition Of The International Plumbing Code, The 1999 Edition Of The National Electrical Code, The 1996 Edition Of The Uniform Administrative Code Provisions For The National Electrical Code, And The 1983 Boulder County Snow Load And Wind Pressure Map; Adopting Amendments To Such Codes; Amending Certain Sections Of The Louisville Municipal Code In Connection With The Adoption Of Such Codes, And Establishing Penalties For Violations Of Such Codes. WHEREAS, national plumbing and electrical standards have been developed and are from time to time amended and updated, and it is deemed in the best interest of the citizens of Louisville, and in the interest of the public health, safety, and general welfare, to adopt by reference the 1997 Edition of the International Plumbing Code, the 1999 Edition of the National Electrical Code, and the 1996 Edition of the Uniform Administrative Code Provisions for the National Electrical Code; and to adopt by reference the Boulder County Snow Load and Wind Pressure Map for use in administration of the City building code; and WHEREAS, the City of Louisville Building Code Board of Appeals and City staff have reviewed the 1997 Edition of the International Plumbing Code, the 1999 Edition of the National Electrical Code, the 1996 Edition of the Uniform Administrative Code Provisions for the National Electrical Code, and the 1983 Boulder County Snow Load and Wind Pressure Map, and recommend to the City Council the adoption of such codes with amendments; and WHEREAS, the City Council, after proper notice as required by law, has held a public hearing on this ordinance providing for the adoption of said codes and provisions; and WHEREAS, the 1997 Edition of the International Plumbing Code, the 1999 Edition of the National Electrical Code, the 1996 Edition of the Uniform Administrative Code Provisions for the National Electrical Code, and the 1983 Boulder County Snow Load and Wind Pressure Map have been submitted to the City Council and the City Council has determined that the codes and provisions should be adopted with amendments as set forth herein; and WHEREAS, the City is authorized to adopt such codes pursuant to state law, including but not limited to C.R.S. sections 12-58-104.5, 31-15-601 et seq., and 31-16-201 et seq.; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the City Council, in adopting the International Plumbing Code with amendments, that such Code as adopted will meet or exceed the requirements of the Colorado Plumbing Code established pursuant to C.R.S. section 12-58-104.5. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LOUISVILLE, COLORADO: Section 1.
