City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />October 5, 2021 <br />Page 2 of 11 <br />Chief John Willson, Louisville Fire District — Joined the meeting for his 4th quarter check -in <br />and safety talk. October 3rd — 9th is fire prevention week and this year's topic is "Learn the <br />Sounds of Fire Safety". Chief Wilson discussed the importance of smoke/carbon <br />monoxide detectors and that they should be placed in every bedroom and on every floor <br />of a home. If the alarm goes off for either smoke or carbon monoxide, get everyone out <br />and call 9-1-1. <br />Mayor Pro Tern Maloney expressed concern about elderly residents getting on ladders to <br />install detectors or change batteries and asked what assistance the fire department can <br />provide. <br />Chief Wilson said residents can call the fire house using the non -emergency number and <br />they will be happy to visit homes to change batteries or install new detectors. <br />APPROVAL OF THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Stolzmann asked for changes to the consent agenda; hearing none she asked for <br />a motion. Mayor Pro Tern Maloney moved to approve the consent agenda, seconded by <br />Councilmember Leh. Vote: All in favor. <br />A. Approval of Bills <br />B. Approval of Resolution No. 68, Series 2021— A Resolution Approving <br />the Assignment of the Business Assistance Agreement with C2X <br />Group LLC to TGR Group LLC <br />D. Approval of Resolution No. 69, Series 2021— A Resolution in Support <br />of an Application to the Colorado Department of Local Affairs <br />Innovative Housing Strategies Planning Grant Program for the <br />Conduct of a Housing Study for the City of Louisville <br />COUNCIL INFORMATIONAL COMMENTS ON PERTINENT ITEMS NOT ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />Mayor Stolzmann let everyone know that the great mural that is going on the Highway 42 <br />underpass is in progress. <br />CITY MANAGER'S REPORT <br />Interim City Manager Davis noted the Q3 2021 Economic Vitality Strategic Plan <br />Scorecard was included in the meeting packet. <br />Mayor Stolzmann stated the marketing materials she received from Director Pierce are <br />exceptional and she is excited to see what is being done to help retail recruitment. <br />
