Paul Petrun died in 1959, and Mary Petrun continued to live at 600 Lincoln until her death in
1968. Daughter Rose Petrun Stritchko was conveyed the property interests in the house from
her surviving siblings who inherited the property with her. She sold the house in 1969 to Linda
Lee Williams.
Later Owners
Linda Lee Williams, who purchased 600 Lincoln in 1969, sold it in 1974 to Carl A. Rolander, III. In
1975, he sold it to Richard Phillip Kilzer and Mary Marcon Kilzer. The following year, they sold
to Robert and Marlene Murphy.
Next, Mark Stephen Herman and Sarah Pendleton were the owners for 14 years, from 1979
until 1993. They sold 600 Lincoln to Robert E. Ward, Alexandra Mitchell, and Robert Allan
Mitchell. The owners then changed to just Robert E. Ward and Alexandra Mitchell.
In 2012, they sold 600 Lincoln to Lisa Tenenbaum. She was the owner until 2021, when she sold
the property to Jessica and Kyle Thompson.
Historical & Architectural Surveys
In 2000, Carl McWilliams surveyed 600 Lincoln and completed an Architectural Inventory Form.
It stated that a rear addition was added in the 1940s and that an upper half -story addition was
added in the 1970s.
Throughout that form, the name "Petrun" was misspelled as "Petrum." Also, the form stated
that the Petrun family owned the house from 1916 until the mid-1960s, but the date range was
longer, from 1904 to 1969.
In 2013, Phillip Barlow completed a form on 600 Lincoln for Historical and Architectural
Reconnaissance.
The preceding research is based on a review of relevant and available online County property records, census records, oral
history interviews, Louisville directories, and Louisville Historical Museum maps, files, obituary records, and historical
photographs from the collection of the Louisville Historical Museum.
4
