L6 CTyis <br />(f <br />LV111e <br />COLORADO • SINCE 1878 <br />City Council <br />Study Session Summary <br />January 20, 2022 <br />Electronic Meeting <br />9:30 AM <br />Mayor Stolzmann called the meeting to order at 9:30 am. <br />City Council Present: Mayor Ashley Stolzmann <br />Mayor Pro Tern Dennis Maloney <br />Councilmember Kyle Brown <br />Councilmember J. Caleb Dickinson <br />Councilmember Deb Fahey <br />Councilmember Chris Leh <br />Councilmember Maxine Most <br />Staff Present: Jeff Durbin, City Manager <br />Meredyth Muth, City Clerk <br />City Manager Durbin gave an update on fire recovery. <br />• Staff received the engineering report on the damaged retaining walls and has <br />reviewed them. There is no immediate risk so we have time to address them. <br />• Rec Center is putting together a proposal on how to help fire impacted families <br />with workout facilities and providing space for mental health meetings and space <br />for neighborhood meetings. <br />• County DAC will be closing at the end of the day on Saturday; the FEMA and <br />SBA side will remain open a few more weeks. <br />• Looking at options for how long to continue to use Ascent Church for placard <br />distribution. <br />• Most City facilities did close early yesterday due to icy conditions. <br />• OEM call center is winding down tomorrow, we are evaluating what that means <br />for our call center. <br />• Boulder Community Foundation gave funding to the Jewish Community Center <br />to coordinate mental health services for fire victims. <br />• Golf Course clubhouse is back open. <br />• Planning/Building, Public Works, and Parks/Open Space are working on issues <br />related to staging for reconstruction as we are expecting requests to use public <br />property for staging for private construction.
