City Council Present: Mayor Ashley Stolzmann Mayor Pro Tern Dennis Maloney Councilmember Kyle Brown Councilmember J. Caleb Dickinson Councilmember Deb Fahey Councilmember Chris Leh Councilmember Maxine Most Staff Present: Jeff Durbin, City Manager Meredyth Muth, City Clerk City Manager Durbin gave an update on fire recovery. • Press release has been sent regarding the Personal Property Debris Removal application submitted to FEMA. We also have shared copies of letters in support of the application to FEMA the White House on behalf of our congressional delegation. • Public Works staff is helping to review the proposals the County received for the debris removal program. We hope a recommendation on which contractors to hire will come next week. • On Monday Planning/Building will be releasing demo permits for private properties not opting into the County program. We have coordinated the permitting and soil testing standards with all three affected jurisdictions. • We have created a rebuild brainstorming team to think about how we can best facilitate the rebuilding process for the neighborhoods. • We are looking into hiring a construction manager to help with the rebuild work and are hoping the position will be funded by DOLA. That person would coordinate such things as right-of-way permits, security, construction scheduled, etc. • We would like to have a one stop shop for people to apply for permits and get questions answered. We hope to be able to turn around permits in 10 days. • There will be a Builder Expo at Ascent Church February 25 and 26. It is not a City sponsored event but we want to make sure people know it is happening.
