Roll Call: PPLAB members present Laurie Harford, Ellen Toon, Shelly Alm and Stephen Knapp; <br />Nathan Mosley, Director of Parks, Recreation and Open Space; Dean Johnson, Parks <br />Superintendent <br />2. Approval of Agenda: Agenda approved <br />3. Approval of Minutes: Approved <br />4. Staff Updates <br />• Three vacancies open for PPLAB <br />o Thank you, Dave Clabbots, for 5 years of service! <br />o Ezra Paddock stepping down as an official PPLAB member, will continue in an <br />emeritus role <br />o PPLAB will wait until February to elect leadership team, in order to welcome <br />new members <br />• Weather has been fantastic, allowing Staff to complete many projects <br />o Irrigation main lines <br />o Park benches <br />• Kudos to Dean, Eric and Staff for helping a resident rescue a cat from a storm drain <br />o Fantastic group effort from Parks Dept. and Fire Dept. <br />• Cottonwood Park Playground: Amendment successfully granted to allow for: <br />o Zip Line addition <br />o ADA compliant playground equipment addition <br />o Equipment ETA Feb 2022, installation slated for Q1 2022 <br />• Enclave is scheduled for a playground replacement Q2 2022, will use same vendor as for <br />Cottonwood Park project <br />o Post and Deck equipment <br />o Outreach planned for Enclave neighborhood <br />• Recreation center has a broken slide <br />o $10K planned for slide replacement <br />o Larger playground replacement scheduled for PPLAB discussion <br />• New City Manager <br />o City Council identified top finalist for City Manager, position has been offered <br />• Robotics Company out of Boulder <br />o Developing a fully autonomous electric mower <br />o Would allow staff to supervise mowers while performing alongside work <br />F, <br />
