■ The board requested that the policy be updated to make <br />reference to this limit. <br />The board had no proposed edits to the proposed Collection Policy. <br />Board member Dufrense moved that this be adopted, Board member <br />Lechner seconded the motion, and the policy was adopted by unanimous <br />vote. <br />c. Photography and Videography <br />• Director Nemecheck introduced the proposed photography and videography <br />policy. <br />o Board member West moved that this be approved. President Seyle and <br />board member Lechner seconded. The policy was adopted by <br />unanimous vote. <br />C. Staff Appreciation <br />• The board discussed whether there was interest in an end -of -year gift or <br />appreciation for the library staff. One suggestion was a gift of $5 gift cards, to <br />the 29 staff. Board member Lechner agreed to purchase cards on behalf of the <br />board from local businesses. <br />VIII. Ongoing Business <br />A. Superior Board of Trustees update (L. Skladzinski) <br />• Superior Trustee Skladzinski reported that Superior is hosting an increasing <br />number of cultural events at the new community center, including work with the <br />library. <br />• Director Nemechek asked about the emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion <br />in cultural events and the board discussed the challenges of doing more events <br />in the current COVID moment. <br />B. Library Foundation liaison report (C. Seyle) <br />• The library and the foundation are working to align the timing of the requests to <br />the foundation with the library budget and planning cycle. <br />• The Read Baby Read program has expanded to Spanish language materials <br />including books and flyers. <br />• The requests to the foundation for 2022 include funding for increasing events <br />and activities, as well as ongoing support for collections. This request will be up <br />for approval in January. <br />IX. Director's Report (S. Nemechek) <br />A. Director Nemechek presented the Director's Report as included in the meeting <br />materials. <br />
