Call to Order <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order at 7:02. <br />II. Roll Call <br /> <br />Members Absent: Ruby Dickson (excused), Katy Brown (excused), Nicole <br />Polglaze(excused) Luc Polglaze (excused), Sierra Ehlert <br />Staff Liaisons Absent: Mandy Perera. <br />Members Presents: Megan Cousins, Austin Lawrence, Charlie Light, Hannah Tienken, <br />Megan Valentine, Sam Webster. <br />Staff Liaisons Present: Kriska Daltonhurst, Peggy Jones, Frost Yarnell. <br /> <br />III. Approval of Agenda <br />Agenda for meeting on March 5th, 2009 was approved. <br />IV. Approval of minutes from 2/5/09 and 2/16/09 meetings. <br />Minutes from meetings on 2/5/09 and 2/16/09 were approved. <br /> <br />V. Elect new secretary <br /> <br />Charlie Light was elected secretary. <br /> <br />VI. Public Comments on Items Not on the Agenda <br /> <br />There were no public comments not on the agenda. <br /> <br />VII. Poet-a-thon planning- reports from subcommittees <br /> <br />. Austin Lawrence said everyone discussed Final arrangements for Poet-a- Thon at last <br />Poet-a-Thon committee meeting on Monday. February 16th. Austin also tried to meet <br />with Adam Fels of Louisville Middle School to get poets for recruiting poets, but he <br />could not. Peggy said the event has a budget of $300 for chapbooks. <br />. Megan Cousins spoke to the Monarch HS Writing Group and they seemed interested. <br />Also, an article interviewing her about event appeared in the Louisville Times. <br />. Megan said that the group should focus more on the poetry, but if someone could get <br />an illustration for the books. <br />. Sam asked, as the editor, if all the poems should have similar fonts in the book or all <br />be different. <br />. Don Atwood asked who was organizing refreshments for the Poet-a-Thon on April1ih, <br />and the recruitment committee will get refreshments for the event. <br />.
