John asked if the City of Louisville currently provides <br />the water. Ember stated that is still being worked on and that the cost was shared <br />jointly. Tom stated that gardens are not allowed on Louisville Open Space. <br />Ember stated that the Kerr Community Gardens in Louisville was very successful <br />and that different size garden beds provided flexibility for the gardeners. <br /> <br />Tom stated that he would like to discuss one final issue associated with dog <br />parks. Tom said that Louisville has had serious issues associated with dog off <br />leash areas and community dog parks. John stated that OSAC had not <br />discussed the issue yet. Tom cautioned OSAC and suggested they research the <br />decision thoroughly because the damage and overuse that can occur is <br />devastating in terms of maintaining open space. Ember also said that waste was <br />a significant problem and that at one point an expense was incurred to remove <br />excess waste. Ember also stated that parking was an issue from overuse of the <br />dog park. <br /> <br />Tom suggested that Superior post information on current events from Louisville <br />and vice versa in an effort to increase public awareness and participation. <br /> <br />Discussion Items for Next Meeting <br />1.
