It was suggested that a limit on the length of dog leashes be considered. Ember also stated that closures of regional trails from 12:00am to 4:00am would be required due to the negative impacts on nocturnal wildlife. Tom asked for an update on water flow from Coal Creek. Ember stated that she went to a meeting with the Colorado Water Conservation Board and the Board did support moving the survey/analysis forward but that no meetings had taken place recently. Ember stated that Louisville would have to either pay for the increased water rights or make some type of trade. Doug Grinbergs asked if there would be a central point of contact for suggestions associated with the regional trail system rules. John from OSAC stated that it was an excellent suggestion to create a platform to receive public input as the process moved forward. Potential Superior/Louisville Trail Map: John stated that he finds significant value in maps and that it would be advantageous to create a joint map showing the trail systems in both Louisville and Superior. Ember stated that Louisville had recently hired a GIS specialist and that maybe the City could move forward with cooperation from Boulder County to include Louisville's trails and open spaces into a GIS database. Tom mentioned that it would be nice to emphasize trail connectivity on the map. Coyote Issues: Molly said that Superior has created signs to be placed at major trail entrances to increase public awareness regarding recent coyote activity. Molly also stated that there have been no incidents from Coyote's in Superior. Ember stated that Louisville attended a symposium at the DOW and that the DOW provided a template that would assist in creating a public process to report sightings or incidents and increase public awareness. One of the suggestions at the symposium was establishing a stronger leash law for dogs to minimize incidents with Coyotes. Ember said the main goal currently was on increasing public education through outreach programs. Ember said that on June 17th there would be a presentation at the Louisville Library regarding Coyotes. Tom stated that a study on Coyotes to determine their range would be beneficial for guiding policy associated with Coyotes. Doug Grinbergs suggested that GIS could display where recent sightings of Coyotes have taken place. Doug also asked if Cities could take advantage of GIS data that Boulder County currently has. Community Gardens: John Nibager stated that Superior was interested in establishing community gardens with the assistance of Community Gardens from Boulder County. He asked if Louisville had any suggestions from their experiences with the Community Gardens adjacent to the Harney Lastoka property. Ember stated that
