<br />CONSTRUCTION AT SOUTH <br />BOULDER ROAD & HIGHWAY 42 <br /> <br />This fall the City will start construction to im- <br />prove the intersection <br />of South Boulder Road and <br />project <br />flow <br />through the intersection and <br />bicycle and pedestrian mobility <br />in the area around the intersec- <br />tion. <br />Intersection improvements include the construction of <br />a second through lane on State Highway 42 and the con- <br />struction of dual-left turn lanes on each leg of the inter- <br />project will also include new sidewalks added <br />along State Highway 42 adjacent to Wells Fargo, Burger <br />King, Big"O" Tires, Union Jack, and Fordyce Auto Center. <br />Bike lanes will be provided on South Boulder Road <br />and State Highway 42 at the intersection where space <br />allows. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />is to during <br />construction; however, the project will result in lanes clo- <br />sures and delays. Residents may not <br />store any of these items within the alley right-of-way. <br />Junk and landscape debris should be disposed of prop- <br />Branch Recycle Site is open the first weekend <br />of every month this summer to accept tree branches and <br />other woody plant material. <br />Bushes and trees originating on your property that are <br />growing into the alleyway should be trimmed back behind <br />fences and property lines. <br />Alley rights-of-way need to be clear to allow safe <br />access for garage entry, trash collection, utility and fire <br />trucks, and other emergency response vehicles. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The City will be accepting 2009 Water Use Rebate <br />applications for seniors beginning July 1,2009. <br />rebates will be available through November 30, 2009. <br />rebate is a $100.00 credit on your water bill. <br />To qualify for a Water Use Rebate, you must meet <br />ALL of the following qualifications: <br />+ total Household income must be under <br />$25,000 for the 2008 calendar year. <br />+ You or your spouse must be 65 years of age or older <br />by August 1,2009. <br />+ You must have been a resident of the City of Louis- <br />ville for some part of the 2008 calendar year. Only <br />one allowance shall be paid to any resident or on <br />any dwelling for a specific period of time. <br />+ You or your spouse must have paid property taxes <br />on a dwelling unit in which you lived and upon <br />which property taxes were assessed for all or part of <br />the 2008 calendar year. <br />If you qualify for the water use rebate you may file <br />an application at the front desk of City Hall, 749 Main <br />Street. <br />For more information, please call 303.335,4500. <br /> <br />DOG CLINICS <br /> <br />The City's annual pet vaccination & dog licensing <br />clinic will be held Saturday, June 27 at the Rec- <br />reation Center, 900 West Via Appia, 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM. <br />Veterinarians from Animal House <br />and Louisville Veterinary Clinic will be <br />giving vaccinations for dogs and cats. <br />Vaccinations include rabies, distemper, <br />parvo, and others. <br />Dog licenses are required for all dogs <br />living in Louisville. Licenses will be avail- <br />able for purchase with a valid veterinar- <br />ian rabies certificate for the year 2009. License fee is $10 <br />for spayed-neutered dogs and $15 for non- spayed or <br />non-neutered dogs.
