luncilwoman Morris

SECOND TO MOTION & VOTE

RESOLUTION #43 - OLSON FINAL
PLAT AND P.U.D.

Director of Community Develop-
ment John Rupp

Mayor Meier

Councilwoman Morris

10/18/83

Page -10 -

Inquired how many units was the City committed
to for 1984.
Attorney Rautenstraus advised this does not
add any more units. This would be in the
schedule that was looked at - appeared to
him there were approximately 170 that were
committed and these would be the first ones
that we have limited in that particular area
for 1984.

Councilman Cussen seconded Mayor Meier's
motion. Question called for. All in favor.
Motion carried unanimously.

Councilmembers had a copy of the resolution,
subdivision agreement, and recommendation
from Planning Commission and Staff.
Attorney Rautenstraus read the resolution ln
its entirety.

Stated that the property was located south
of East Street, east of the RR tracks,
consisted of approximately 5+ acres, zoned
Industrial. Slides were shown of the area
reflecting 3 lots. Applicant is proposing
to develop Lot 2 into mini-warehouse storage
facility and related caretaker residence.
The mini-warehouse storage facility was of
some concern regarding the color, roof pitch,
type of exterior materials, and surrounding
landscaping and fencing. Mr. Olson worked
well with the staff in trying to achieve
something that would be suitable for the
Industrial area as zoned. The site will be
masonary construction, the highest point
of the roof will be IS'; access to the pro-
ject will be from West St. and two emergency
accesses are being provided to the storage
facility project as required by the Fire
Dept. Planning Commission and staff recommended
approval. There will be no exterior storage
or parking of vehicles.

Commented he would like to see more land-
scaping done on the northwest corner of the
proposal; felt it would be more asthetically
pleasing.

Commented regarding the 7' security fence -
what materials would be used?
Director Rupp stated it was his understanding
that it would be a chain link fence with
mesh-type slats
