<br />ADOPTION <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />WESTERN EMPIRE CONSTRUCTION <br />PAY ESTIMATE #6 - WASTEWATER <br />PLANT. <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />POWDER RIVER CONSTRUCTION CO. <br />FINAL PAYMENT - MAIN STREET <br />WATERLINE <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />9/20/83 <br /> <br />Page -3- <br /> <br />Ferris further stated all plumbing and heating <br />contractors must be licensed with the State, <br />and are licensed with the City according to <br />reputation and proper liability insurance. <br />Councilman Cussen expressed concern that if <br />a plumber had to be licensed in several <br />cities, i.e. Lafayette, Louisville, Broomfield, <br />etc. these fees would be passed on to the <br />customers. <br /> <br />Discussion by council regarding rate structure, <br />types of licenses and reasons for the increase. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Cummings <br />seconded that Ordinance #807 - Contractors <br />License Fee Increase be adopted. Roll <br />call vote: <br />Fauson <br />Cummings <br />Meier <br />Cussen <br />Ferrera <br />Leary <br />Morris <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />Yes <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson moved, Mayor Meier seconded <br />that the City Attorney's report be accepted <br />and placed on file. Question called for. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the pay esti- <br />mate as well as recommendation from the <br />Consulting Engineers that payment be authorized. <br /> <br />Councilman Cussen moved, Councilwoman Morris <br />seconded that Pay Estimate #6 on the Waste- <br />water Plant to Western Empire Construction <br />in the amount of $290,780.00 be approved. <br />Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the request <br />for payment of the retainage fee as well <br />as recommendation from the Consulting En- <br />gineers and Public Works Dept. to authorize <br />payment. <br /> <br />Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Cummings <br />seconded that the retainage fee of $9,914.36 <br />to Powder River Construction Co. for the <br />Main Street waterline be approved. <br />
