They
have been no improvements at all - there is
a bike path, but falls far short of a park.
Two homes have been built in the Mission
Greens area and a third has been started so
couldn't see any reason why something isn't
being done on the park. All the residents
are very disappointed with the delays and
wished to know if Council could inform them
of a schedule.

Mayor Meier

Stated that the City Attorney had presented
Council with a letter written to Mr. Suitts.

Attorney Rautenstraus

Advised that a copy of the letter was sent
to Colorado Mortgage Co. who is the holder
of the Surety Bond and 30 days from the date
of notice, the bond would be called upon to
make the improvements.
Administrator Wurl advised that the drainage
problems on the east end of Mission Greens
was promoted by the letter and work was com-
menced today to resolve this problem. Also
advised that the paving on Hoover Street
would begin soon also.

Councilwoman Morris

Wished clarification that the letter did
state that if all improvements were not made
within 30 days the bond would be called upon.
Attorney Rautenstraus verified this.

Street Signs ln Windmill
pointe

Wished to call Council's attention to the heavy
traffic on Hoover Ave. - not only the construc-
tion traffic, but the weekend sight seers and
the people who are cutting through the sub-
division to get to other areas. She and
other people have called the Engineering Dept.
and some of their councilmembers concerning
what could be done to alleviate this situation.
Had been told that a speed bump could not be
installed nor stop signs. Was concerned that
her next call to the Police Dept. would be
that one of the children in the area was
seriously injured. It seems that with what
happened in the Windmill pointe area with the
explosion, there was a problem with street
signs and there had to be a tragedy involved
before something was done in this respect.
Requested council do something about the
heavy traffic on Hoover before another tragedy
occurs. Suggested that the construction trucks

Betty Johnson, 270 Hoover
St.
Traffic on Hoover Ave.
