\.-~,DINANCE #796 - SOUTH ST.
VACATION

ADOPTION

6/7/83

Pag-8-

R.O.W. Councilmembers had a copy of the ordinance;
Attorney Rautenstraus read it by title only
on second reading and certified proper publi-
cation.

ORDINANCE #799 - P.U.D. GUIDE-
LINES

Councilman Leary

Councilwoman Morris

John Lanterman, Planner

Mayor Meier

Councilman Ferrera moved, Councilman Fauson
seconded that Ordinance #796 - South St. R.O.W.
Vacation be adopted. Roll call vote:
Morris Yes
Meier Yes
Fauson Yes
Ferrera Yes
Leary Yes
Motion carried unanimously.

Councilmembers had a copy of the ordinance;
Attorney Rautenstraus read it by title only
on first reading and the request was for
authorization for publication.

Commented that he would prefer a study session
on the P.U.D. Guidelines unless it was thoroughly
discussed this evening - had several changes
he would like to make was not certain they
would necessarily accomplish what was intended.
After reading them did not feel there was any-
thing that would change the fact that Council
was getting unacceptable, very conventional
subdivision plans in.

Suggested that Planner John Lanterman give
a presentation on the guidelines.

Replied in answer to Administrator Wurl's
inquiry verified that the Planning Commission
had approved the guidelines and it was their
feeling that at the stage where Louisville is
presently and what was wanted to be accomplished,
that these would help give direction to the
developers. Lanterman stated that at the
inception of the document very specific guide-
lines were stated, had a bonus criteria to
apply to those to qualify as a P.U.D. After
reviewing this by being too specific in asking
for design elements, etc. we could really be
limited in terms of negotiaions to achieve
the best results for both the City and the
developer.

Favored having the ordinance published so
that the public and developers would have an
opportunity to read the guidelines and also
have a study session on June 20, 1983 to
further revisions by council.
