<br />Councilwoman Morris <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />Mayor Meier <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />ORDINANCE #793 - STORER <br />CABLE T.V. - PERMIT TRANSFER <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING CONTINUED <br /> <br />Councilman Leary <br /> <br />T ~E ON THE MOTION <br /> <br />6/7/83 <br /> <br />Page -7- <br /> <br />will be approximately $6,000 in the hole, <br />for awards that need to be paid. Mr. <br />Fowler requested that Council consider making <br />a donation to the Crime Stoppers program in <br />the amount of $6,000.00. <br /> <br />Discussion by council regarding the area _ <br />all of Boulder County; reward would be $2,000 <br />per person if they are willing to testify in <br />Court; sources of revenue are the public, <br />corporations, businesses, etc. Donations <br />are requested by population of the various <br />areas. <br />Councilwoman suggested that during the budget <br />process councilmembers consider designating <br />funds for these type human services and as <br />the need arises could be funded. <br />Agreed with Councilwoman Morris that this type <br />funding should be included in the budget pro- <br />cess for consideration. However did not favor <br />taking these funds from the current budget, <br />which would mean transferring funds of which <br />he did not approve or cut something, which <br />was also not feasible. <br />Mr. Fowler stated he appreciated the bad timing <br />of the request but would appreciate any con- <br />sideration for funds in the future. <br /> <br />Suggested that perhaps during the next budget- <br />ary process a matching fund item be set up <br />i.e. L.D.C. <br />No funds granted Crime Stoppers at this time. <br /> <br />Councilmembers had a copy of the ordinance <br />coming on second reading with continued public <br />hearing. Attorney Rautenstraus advised the <br />request is that Council continue the public <br />hearing until June 21st. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Morris moved, Councilman Ferrera <br />seconded that Ordinance #793 - Storer Cable <br />T.V. Permit Transfer Public Hearing be con- <br />tinued until June 21st. <br /> <br />Inquried of the City Attorney what the re- <br />quirements were regarding the recent ordinance <br />passed relative to continued public hearings. <br />Rautenstraus advised the ordinance applied to <br />annexations only. <br /> <br />Question called for. All in favor. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br />
